Middle Market Advisory was founded in 2018 to help small and middle market business owners who have been at the competitive disadvantage of not having the expert Tax and accounting talent of bigger companies.
Businesses and their founders, owners, shareholders, boards, and CEOs are facing more complexity than ever. This brings with it the potential opportunities for great growth but also risk if tax obligations are not managed promptly. Middle Market Advisory has been advising companies doing business not only in Texas and Mexico but in North America and Latin America since its origin. We advise on cross-border transactions, improving reporting and FP&A from foreign subsidiaries, and obtaining greater ROI on international operations.

Tax, Financial, and M&A Leadership
Andrew Barker is the founder of Middle Market Advisory LLC. He is an actively licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and an MBA from NYU in Finance & International Business. He is also a member of the AICPA / Association of International Certified Professional Accountants.
Andrew speaks Spanish and Portuguese having done business in LatAm for 25+ years.
Andrew’s professional experience includes financial and operational management leadership roles, both domestic and international, from New York City, Mexico City, and Dallas. Andrew’s experience includes M&A advisory at KPMG, M&A investment banking in Latin America, and seated roles as CFO and COO in both the US and Mexico.
He advises businesses in a multitude of industries including manufacturing, distribution, real estate, start-ups, professional services, SAAS, retail, and agriculture.
Andrew served on the Advisory Board at The American Society in Mexico and the Advisory Board of the Dallas Business Club.
These decades of experience have provided Andrew with a track record of success in maximizing real-world post-tax efficiency and productivity in multiple industries in the US and Latin America, especially in the family-owned and private businesses.
This proven ability to improve tax strategy, financial management, operations and cash flow in global business / international financial management by providing executive C-level leadership, and strategic alignment underlies all the services MMA LLC provides clients.
With over 30 years of experience, Andrew has a track record of success in maximizing real-world efficiency and productivity in multiple industries in the US and Latin America, including in the family-owned, private, and nonprofit arenas.
Andrew brings the proven ability to improve operations and cash flow and extensive experience in Global Business, International Financial Management, Executive / Business C-Level Leadership, and Strategic Alignment.
